Human hypodermis tissue, the deepest layer of the skin, is a valuable resource in drug development research. This tissue is utilized to study various aspects such as skin drug absorption, cell isolation for toxicity testing, investigation of adipose tissue in obesity-related research, and understanding wound healing and connective tissue mechanisms. Additionally, the characteristics of the hypodermis are considered in the formulation of topical drugs. Every order contains:
- The ordered amount of Fresh Hypodermis, which is placed in a dedicated container.
- A QA/QC lot release certificate with donor information (age, gender, skin type, anatomical site).
About the donors:
Donors can be male or female, from age 18-90. However, please note that the large majority of the donors are female (90%), aged between 30 and 50 (60%).
Multiple donors:
Genoskin’s network of hospitals and surgeons allows us to access many skin tissues per week and to provide you with hypodermis from multiple donors. The best way to order Fresh Hypodermis from multiple donors is to place one order per donor. We cannot guarantee a multiple donor delivery on the same day.
Delivery:
Fresh Hypodermis is packed in a thermally insulated box that can be shipped by express airfreight.
When ordering, you will be able to select a preferred week of delivery. The Genoskin production team works hard to accommodate your selection. However, productions may be rescheduled for the following week depending on surgery schedules and sample quality and quantity.
Note that Fresh Hypodermis may arrive at your facility from Wednesday to Friday. The expected delivery day will be communicated at least 48 hours in advance to your team.
